Streusel Coffee Cake

I found this recipe online over the Christmas break. I believe I found it on www.allrecipes.com. I made several loaves and gave one as a secret santa gift. It was well liked and I ended up giving out many copies of the recipe.

Ingredients:

1 c butter, softened
2 c white sugar
4 eggs
2 c sour cream
2 tsp vanilla
4 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda


topping:
1/2 c white sugar
2 tsp cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350. Grease 10 inch bundt pan.

Mix dry ingredients and set aside.

***except the last 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon***

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix well.

Add dry ingredients and combine.

Pour 1/2 the batter into the pan, and sprinkle 1/2 the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the sugar mixture.

Bake 350 for 45 to 60 minutes, or until tooth pick comes out clean.

  1. Yum! My kids would love this for a special breakfast. All I'd have to say is that it's a big version of "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" and they'd go nuts.
